Primers are also designed to seal surfaces from concrete leaks, where the air will rise and be expelled from the concrete. This can be due to a number of reasons, including an increase in temperature or changes in humidity. DO I ALWAYS HAVE TO USE A PRIMER?
In cases where the surface is properly prepared and the surface is healthy (and you do not have oil and other unwanted ingredients such as moisture etc.), you have a better chance of coating failure.
